Given the current uncertain economic conditions worldwide, it is perhaps not surprising that we have recently received comments about “high prices” from potential customers who are still choosing SIklu. However, the purchase price is only one of several components that determine the product’s total cost of ownership and the ultimate return on investment.
Over the last ten years, Siklu’s pricing and value have enabled the company to become the leading provider of V-band and E-band mmWave solutions in many countries around the world. Siklu’s value rests on a straight-forward and optimized feature set, product reliability, performance (e.g., ubiquitous Gigabit-speed connectivity, especially in areas where no fiber infrastructure exists) and the support behind it – featuring “real humans” ready to answer every question and address any issue during design, installation, and on-going operation.
Reducing Installation Costs
A major cost associated with purchasing new networking equipment is: “how much does it cost to install it?” Siklu was the first to introduce out-of-the-box operational mmWave links more than 12 years ago and, based on very close relationships with its customers, the company has continuously delivered new features to further ease the design and installation process.
For instance, Siklu recently introduced our new MASON (Management, Automation and Self-Organizing Network) application and major enhancements to its Wireless Network Design Engine (WiNDE). The integration of these two systems is so thorough that it results in an extremely easy, “screwdriver only” onsite installation process – meaning nothing to configure in the field. As such, it represents a major advance in lowering operational costs and maximizing the return on investment of advanced wireless networks.
Proven End-Customer Satisfaction
Another item to consider is: what is the value of your customers’ satisfaction with your service? Siklu is the only manufacturer with both 60GHz and 70/80GHz radios with an “MTBF” (mean time between failure) rating of more than 90 years. This remarkable figure is reflected in comments from customers who report that, with Siklu, they can truly “set it and forget it” when it comes to operational consistency and no need for maintenance. Siklu also has this type of reputation because our equipment has the highest ratings when it comes to performing in adverse weather conditions. For instance, a customer in Utah recently reported that the performance of the CPE from another vendor was hampered by wet snow, while a nearby Siklu link continues to operate flawlessly.
Industry-Leading Terragraph Innovation
Additional industry-leading innovations and cost-cutting features are seen in our MultiHaul™ TG Terragraph-certified line of products. The MultiHaul TG N366 node is the only product in the industry with a 360-degree field of view, which allows full coverage of a particular area coupled with the industry’s highest number of connection to any direction – up to 60 clients from one node. The “360-degree” feature significantly simplifies the design and enables a more aesthetic and simpler to install hub with a lower number of outdoor elements.
Operational simplicity is enhanced by the fact that MultiHaul TG operates as a pure L2 (“layer two” – with reference to the “7-layer stack” network model) solution, which means that an operator is not required to tediously encapsulate an L2 over L3 transport network with a cloud-based “massive router” to act as a network controller. And indeed, we are hearing again and again similar feedback from customers who deploy Siklu’s MultiHaul-TG™ for the first time: “It is the easiest to install and operate mmWave mesh on the market”
And the Terragraph innovation continues with the launch in Q422 of the N367 node, which offers enhanced 360° coverage flexibility with the incorporation of Siklu’s industry-unique 4 independent high-gain beam-forming RF2 antennas. This yields a range extension between 60% and 80% depending on target capacity and availability. RF2 antennas are already embedded in many of Siklu products and will activate with a SW release available for download together with the release of the N367.
Meeting Your Business Goals
In summation, you can join a growing number of operators who understand the “big picture” of TCO and ROI and the true value you will derive from deploying Siklu’s industry-leading line of Gigabit-speed radios, which are meeting a wide variety of critical connectivity needs for residential broadband, Smart City, security, and other applications. Cost is a factor, of course – but what is it compared to meeting your business goals, maintaining a satisfied customer base, and having peace of mind? So if you want to keep your engineers focused on connecting new customers, instead of returning to those recently connected, you should choose Siklu – and meet your business objectives with our industry-leading technology and support.
