Project Background
Omaha’s Henry Doorly Zoo and Aquarium has a well-earned reputation as one of the foremost zoological institutions in the United States. Its Lied Jungle is one of the world’s largest indoor rainforests.
The Zoo also features the world’s largest glazed geodesic dome, the Desert Dome, which houses one of the world’s largest indoor deserts.
Such an operation requires the most advanced infrastructure support system. Recently the Zoo upgraded and expanded its video surveillance system, adding state-of-the-art 4K HD cameras and coverage of the 130-acre property.
As a result, the Zoo required an ultra-reliable network to backhaul all of the video traffic to the central control center and set to install one in the summer of 2022.
